God’s Daily Promise #1

Malachi 3:6

“For I, Yahweh, don’t change;
therefore you, sons of Jacob, are not consumed.

(World English Bible)

Promise #1: I am the Lord your God and I never change.
It is important for us to be reminded of this simple truth…  The Lord our God does not change. He is the same yesterday, today and forever. Every promise that He has made is secure and will last forever. Since we live in a world that is constantly changing, the promise of our Father’s rock-solid commitment to us is very reassuring.
Today is a new day for us to be able to experience the Lord’s continued faithfulness in our lives. He will never leave us or let us down. He loves us with all His heart and each one of His promises that is true today will be true in a million years from now.I pray that this truth will bring a deeper level of comfort and security to each one of our lives. May we look forward to all of the ways that our Father will show Himself faithful to us in 2012. May you be blessed beyond imagination!

  1. Hi Barry,

    That’s a pretty kickin’ promise from our Papa God, isn’t it — that our Lord Never Changes! Woo Hoo, and a Yahoo, to boot, right? I never tire of hearing of His grand love for us and His never-ending faithfulness to us! Thanks for your blog. Oh, and Blessings Galore on Your New Daily Devo ~ for You and Papa’s Perfectly Appointed Readers. ~ May the Lord of Peace Himself give you peace at all times and in every way. ~ (2 Thess. 3.16).

    Be well ~

  2. P.S. I always loved the actor portraying Christ in your header! His portrayal of the Lord was always real, human, tender, funny, compassionate, occasionally angry, always loving and concerned, but never condescending, even though his ‘character’s’ position was undoubtedly divine. Unfortunately, I’ve only seen a few of these shows, but this actor is compelling and gave me a new vision of the ‘real-ness’ of Christ and the meaning of His Word. Thanks for the lovely reminder. :-) ~~ Stephanie

    • I tried to think how to respond to your comments. But you have already said exactly how I feel about Bruce Marchiano and his depiction of Jesus. It’s good to know that others have been as touched as I have been by this actor. He really brings a “sense of Jesus” to his portrayal.
